Wendy Avila

Wendy grew up here in the Bakersfield area. Graduated from West High School and then went on to University of California Santa Barbara (WCSB). She received her law degree from The University of Francisco Law School.

Wendy is currently a Deputy District Attorney assigned to the Gang Task Force. She is a Board Member of Latina Leaders of Kern County, an Adjunct Lecturer in the Political Science Department of California State University Bakersfield (CSUB), and a Board Member of HOPE (Hispanas Organized for Political Equality). She has been working to provide a voice to Latinas to develop their personal growth, prosperity and political clout.
